To compile the list, TIME solicited nominations from its global network of contributors and correspondents, as well as outside experts. The TIME editors then rated each entry based on key factors such as Impact, Innovation, Ambition and Success. The result is a diverse group of 100 companies helping to chart a meaningful path forward.
