TVS ILP invests $1 billion in warehouse park development

TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) will invest US$1 billion over the next three to four years to develop 20 million square feet of infrastructure across 20 different warehouse parks in India.

TVS ILP has expanded its presence in 11 logistics parks in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan with a total space availability of 10 million square feet. In addition, the company has 35 customers from various industries including FMCG and FMCD, 3PLS, CDE, e-commerce, automotive and manufacturing.

In addition, the company intends to expand its footprint in an additional 30 cities in India to double its warehousing infrastructure to 20 million square feet. To do this, it explores a park in the country every 400 km. Land is currently being sought in Madurai, Vijayawada, Cuttack, Kolkata, Siliguri and Guwahati. Each park requires 20 to 40 acres of land, while an independent client may need a million square feet of space.

TVS ILP is a warehousing and logistics solutions company of the TVS Mobility Group. It houses two major customers, Ather Energy and Flipkart, in the existing logistics park in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
