Delhi-based logistics startup Trucknetic has launched an interactive and easy-to-use application to assist customers with instant truck booking.
“The fully automated system will provide real-time booking status. The customer will receive a confirmation of the truck booking on the website or in the application within 30 seconds,” the company said in a statement.
Founded in 2019, the startup provides an Uber-like service for trucks and is helping to streamline India’s notoriously inefficient logistics industry by creating a unique marketplace that connects hauliers and freight forwarders for intracity, intercity, interstate, and packer and transport companies Movements of movers using AI-ML, analytics and related technologies.
“The Trucknetic app is the most convenient way to book a truck service with just one touch. With the launch of this new, state-of-the-art and easy-to-use app, it aims to raise the bar on the quality of service offered to the customer, thereby creating value for money for the end-user,” said Arham Partap Jain , Founder, Trucknetics.
The trucking platform consists of all types of trucks including electric vehicles, pickup trucks, 12 tire trucks, trailers and tank trucks. It also offers trucks for all types of movement, including intra-city, inter-city, and intra-city movement.
The application’s interface is seamless and as easy to use as a taxi booking app to book and manage rides and offers live tracking, transport insurance and BNPL services among others.
“With our enhanced feature of online truck booking in Delhi-NCR, a person can check the length of time to get your goods from your current location to desired location. As the best transportation companies in Delhi-NCR, we want to build great trust with our customers, so we allow them to check the price and time before making the final booking,” he added.
The platform provides fare estimates based on the distance and time of the trip, making it easy to budget for a trip. The company also conducts background checks on all transport companies and drivers to ensure the safety of its drivers.
Going forward, Trucknetic aims to rapidly adopt Electric Vehicles as a Service (EV-aas) and reduce its carbon footprint, in line with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of net-zero emissions by 2070.
The startup will reach almost 10,000 downloads on its Trucknetic Shipper App and almost 5,000 downloads on the Trucknetic Carrier App by September 2023. The startup currently has 10,000 trucks in its network, covering about a tenth of all trucks in India.
