The launch of Sagar Manthan’s dashboard is a positive development towards Digital India’s vision: Sonowal

Union Ministers for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush Shri Sarbananda Sonowal virtually launched the real-time performance monitoring dashboard of MoPSW “Sagar Manthan” – a digital platform with all integrated data related to the ministry and other subsidiaries. It was held in the presence of Shri Shripad Y. Naik, MoS, MoPSW; Shri Shantanu Thakur, MoS, MoPSW and other ministry officials.

This dashboard will transform the way different departments work by enhancing well-coordinated, real-time information. This platform was efficiently developed entirely in-house under the direction of Shri Sudhanshu Pant, IAS, Secretary, MoPSW in less than 1.5 months.

On that occasion, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said the launch of the Sagar Manthan dashboard is a positive development towards our Prime Minister’s Digital India vision. He said it will have a significant impact on the overall performance of organizations.

The minister said effective project oversight can ensure timely completion of projects, informed decision-making, and increased project efficiency and effectiveness. He said it also promotes real-time project tracking, risk management, resource allocation and progress reporting.

The launch of the Sagar Manthan dashboard is a move towards digitization and transparency in the maritime transport sector and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is committed to supporting the growth of the sector in India.
