The Gujarat government is planning to develop a special investment region aimed at Navlakhi Port

The Government of Gujarat plans to develop a Special Investment Region (SIR) targeting the Port of Navlakhi in the Saurashtra region. Today’s meeting of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB), chaired by Prime Minister Bhupendra Patel, discussed the appointment of a consultant to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the SIR development near Navlakhi.

The meeting also decided to include logistic infrastructure as a priority sector.

The assembly also approved in principle the selection of a consultant to prepare a report on the country’s industrial water needs by 2050.

The Chief Minister chaired the meeting for the State Integrated Infrastructure Masterplan aligned with the Gatishakti National Masterplan.

The meeting also discussed the appointment of a consultant/consultant for an integrated regional development plan for Talukas in the state’s coastal belt. The meeting also discussed ongoing work to prepare the country’s logistics master plan and a city’s logistics master plan (covering 8 municipal corporation areas).

The GIDB was created in 1999. Today was her 39th session. GIDB is the node agency for the implementation of the Gatishakti Masterplan project.
