South Asia and India’s first LEED certified Green Express B2B

As the first LEED-certified Green Express B2B sorting center in South Asia and India, TCI EXPRESS has set a new standard for sustainability in the logistics industry. The facility’s stormwater management system ensures efficient collection and use of rainwater, minimizing water wastage. By installing 600kWh solar panels, the sorting center uses clean and renewable energy, reducing its dependence on conventional energy sources and significantly reducing its carbon footprint. The presence of LEED-accredited professionals ensures sustainable practices are implemented throughout the facility, from design and construction to day-to-day operations.

To achieve our sustainability goals, we have implemented energy-efficient LED lighting in our operations, resulting in lower power consumption and a lower heat index. Our Smart Sync technology has effectively optimized generator usage and minimized the carbon footprint.

In addition, the introduction of battery-powered forklifts and insulated building construction has resulted in reduced emissions and electricity consumption. Through solar panels at Gurugram and Pune sorting centers, TCI EXPRESS successfully generated 804,311 kWh of renewable electricity in fiscal year 2022-23.

In addition, the TCI EXPRESS sorting center attaches great importance to waste management and includes a comprehensive plan to minimize construction and demolition waste. By prioritizing recycling and responsible waste management practices, the center reduces its impact on the environment and contributes to a circular economy. The facility also attaches great importance to the well-being of its residents, implementing measures to improve indoor air quality and reduce water consumption both inside and outside the premises.
