Sumadhura Infracon is building warehouses on a 100 hectare site

Sumadhura Infracon, a Bangalore-based construction company, is planning the gradual development of warehouses and industrial projects on a 100-hectare site on the outskirts of the city.

This marks the company’s entry into the warehousing sector, with the first project being developed under Sumadhura Urban Infrastructure on Hoskote Chintamani Road.

The first phase of the project covers an area of ​​2.5 million square feet with an investment of 600 crore rupees. It is planned to expand the overall development to 6 million square feet by acquiring an additional 150 acres of land on Hoskote-Chintamani Road. The company’s goal is to build a rental yield portfolio and raise funds through rent discounts.

Demand for industrial and warehouse space in India’s five largest cities remained strong in the first quarter of 2023, with industrial and logistics rents up 26% year-on-year to 8.0 million square feet. During the same period, supply grew 28% year over year to 7.6 million square feet.
