Strike in Canadian ports delays change to MSC’s Chinook rotation

MSC announced in June that its Chinook service will have the following port rotation starting week 28 of the year:

Yantian (China) – Shanghai (China) – Qingdao (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Vancouver (Canada) – Seattle (USA) – Portland (USA)

However, as the strike in Canada’s west coast ports enters the tenth day with no sign of an agreement between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Canada and the British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA), MSC has decided to defer the port rotation Revision.

Consequently, and until further notice, MSC ships operating on the Chinook service will continue to sail in the following port rotation:

Yantian – Shanghai – Qingdao – Busan – Seattle – Portland – Vancouver
