Sonowal inaugurates technology center for ports, waterways and coasts

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, will inaugurate the National Ports, Waterways and Coastal Technology Center (NTCWPC) on Monday.
according to the official statement.

Under the Sagarmala program, NTCWPC has been set up in IIT Chennai at a cost of Rs 77 crore.

The institute acts as the technological arm of the ministry, developing cutting-edge technologies and application products to provide solutions to various challenges faced by the port and shipping sectors, the statement said.

According to the statement, the institute has first-class capabilities to carry out 2D and 3D investigations with research and consulting character for the port, coastal and waterway sector in all disciplines
