Saudi Arabia’s Mawani, GACA and ZATCA sign memorandum of understanding to improve air-sea connectivity

To improve air-sea logistics connectivity and ensure smooth cargo flow throughout Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority ( ZATCA) signed a letter of intent (MoU).

By integrating cargo operations at air and sea terminals, simulating cargo transportation scenarios to identify and addressing underlying challenges that impede smooth service delivery, and leveraging the country’s strategic geographic location, the three parties intend to expand logistics and customs services in Saudi -Arabia and Saudi Arabia to improve foreign trade and boost the country’s economic development.

The agreement also aims to improve collaboration and coordination between public sector organizations through a common framework created to facilitate the sharing of information and resources, achieve common goals and coordinate initiatives to To transform Arabia into an international logistics hub according to the ambitions set out by Vision 2030.
