MUMBAI: The Department of Ports, Shipping and Waterways presents the third edition of its most prestigious “Global India Sea Summit‘ this year. Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) in August presence of Shri Shripad Y. Naik, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Shri Shantanu Thakur, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways will officially launch the curtain raiser of Global Maritime India Summit 2023 Event today – July 18, 2023 at St. Regis, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

The aim of this event is to create an international forum for key decision makers and industry leaders. providing a platform for start-ups, researchers and incubators; Presentation of the latest technology and emerging trends in the maritime sector; Recognizing and celebrating high performers in the maritime sector and creating a platform for accessing a skilled workforce through interaction between industry and academia.

This highly anticipated event will bring together government officials, influential stakeholders, renowned experts and visionaries from the maritime field. This exclusive pre-event will provide a glimpse of the grandeur and importance of the main summit, highlighting India’s strength in the maritime sector and setting the stage for fruitful collaboration and new investment opportunities. Following the opening ceremony, influential speakers from across the maritime industry and associations will provide valuable insights, perspectives and trends shaping the industry. Representatives from the various Mumbai city councils are expected to attend the event.
