Prime Minister speaks at today’s post-budget webinar on infrastructure and investments.

Webinar is chaired by the Department of Roads, Transport and Motorways (MoRTH) and co-chaired by the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Domestic Trade (DPIIT).

NEW DELHI : Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will address them Post-Budget Webinar on Infrastructure and Investments today (03/04/2023). It is part of a series of 12 webinars organized by the Government to seek ideas and suggestions for effectively implementing the initiatives announced during the Union Budget 2023-24.

The Union Budget adopted seven priorities that complement each other and act as “Saptarishi” guiding the country through the Amrit Kaal. These include inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructure and investment, unlocking potential, green growth, youth empowerment and the financial sector.

The post-budget webinar on ‘Infrastructure and Investments’ to be led Ministry of Roads, Transport and Motorways (MoRTH) and jointly directed by Industry and Domestic Trade Promotion Department (DPIIT). The webinar is also set to host discussions on three sub-topics, namely Improving Logistic Efficiency, Planning PM Gati Shakti’s National Master Plan, and Infrastructure Development and Investment Opportunities.

Union Minister for Trade and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles Shri Piyush Goyal and Minister for Roads, Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari will also address the webinar. Also, secretaries and senior officials of central and state/UT governments, a large number of interested parties industry associations, science, And logistics service provider would attend this webinar and provide suggestions to better implement budget announcements. Some of the standout speakers that will address the webinar are: Mr. Dhruv Kotak (Managing Director, JM Baxi Group), Mr. R. Dinesh (Managing Director, President of TVS Logistics & CII) and Mr. Sashidhar Jagdishan (Managing Director and CEO, HDFC Bank).

The webinar will start with a plenary session and an opening session given by the Honorable Prime Minister, followed by separate breakout sessions on the sub-topics and a question and answer session to create a dialogue between the participants.

The ministries are also to present innovative assumptions of the budget announcements under the three sub-themes of “Improving Logistic Efficiency”, “Planning PM Gati Shakti’s National Master Plan” and “Infrastructure Development and Investment Opportunities”. The ideas from these breakout sessions were presented to the plenum in the final minutes of the webinar. Based on the contributions received, the ministries concerned would draw up a time-bound action plan for the implementation of the budget announcements.

The Post-Budget Webinar for 2023 offers all participating stakeholders the opportunity to exchange views, expected results and implementation strategies on the budget announcements.
