(Bloomberg) – OceanGate said it halted all exploration and business activities just weeks after five people were killed in a company-owned submersible on an expedition to view the wreck of the Titanic.

Last month, a multinational search operation took place after OceanGate’s submersible Titan went missing near Titanic’s resting place in the North Atlantic. The US Coast Guard announced days later that it had located the submersible, saying it suffered a “catastrophic implosion.”

OceanGate did not immediately respond to a telephone request for comment.
