Nitin Gadkari & Mahindra Logistics Release Book “Desh Chaalak”

Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Government Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said. of India and Mahindra Logistics, a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions in India, have jointly launched an inspirational book entitled “Desh Chaalak”. Authored by Ramesh Kumar, the book pays tribute to the unsung heroes – the drivers of India.

“Desh Chaalak” recognizes and celebrates the silent contribution Indian riders have made to the country’s growth. It sheds light on their lives along the way and the challenges they overcome on their travels. Comprised of 30 stories based on real experiences, the book provides a compelling account of her remarkable journey.

During the book launch, Nitin Gadkari expressed his admiration for India’s drivers and the crucial role they play in the country’s economic progress. He commended Mahindra Logistics for initiating this tribute to these unsung warriors. The minister highlighted the government’s efforts to improve motorists’ lives by developing world-class roads and infrastructure. He stated that “Desh Chaalak” is a step in the right direction to raise awareness of the contributions of the driver community in India.

Author Ramesh Kumar thanked Mahindra Logistics for the support that has made this book possible to draw attention to the extraordinary working lives of Indian drivers. He emphasized that “Desh Chaalak” shines a spotlight on her untold stories and allows her inspirational and emotional narratives to be recognized and cherished.

Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics, emphasized that drivers are not only the backbone of their operations but also the driving force behind the entire logistics industry. He described “Desh Chaalak” as a heartfelt tribute to these riders, highlighting their resilience and highlighting their indispensable contribution in moving the industry forward.

In addition to the book launch, Mahindra Logistics also awarded scholarships to drivers’ children, demonstrating their commitment to the well-being of the drivers’ community.
