Kuehne+Nagel opens Transport Operations Center in India

Kuehne+Nagel, a leading global logistics company, opened its third Transport Operation Center (TOC) for the Asia-Pacific region in India.

Located at the national office in Gurugram, the center was set up to provide a centralized approach to sales management across India, according to an official release. “The table of contents enables a comprehensive view of the supply chain network to streamline operations, increase efficiency and ultimately reduce costs through a tactical planning process.”

TOCs currently provide customer support for more than 30 locations with optimized route and network planning, which will also help reduce the carbon footprint within customers’ supply chains, the release added.

“We are pleased to announce the opening of our third transport operations center in Asia Pacific as part of Kuehne+Nagel’s contract logistics service,” said Coen van der Maarel, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. “Our goal for Kuehne+Nagel is to continue our investments in India, which will enable us to support all of our customers, regardless of industry, in transforming their supply chain. The Transport Operation Center, supported by the Kuehne+Nagel contract logistics team, puts Kuehne+Nagel more than ever at the center of the country’s economic development.”

Pankaj Dubey, Country Head, Contract Logistics India, Kuehne+Nagel adds: “It is our intention to onboard all existing customers and to offer this service to new customers as well. Our Transport Operation Center will not only streamline transportation, but also focus on improving safety and compliance.”
