KSH Logistics is committed to increasing the number of female workers by 25% by 2023

KSH Logistics, one of India’s leading providers of integrated supply chain logistics solutions with over two decades of presence in India, has committed to increasing its female workforce by 25% by 2023.

Announced to mark International Women’s Day, this initiative is consistent with the company’s commitment to gender diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace. With this initiative, KSH Logistics aims to create a more balanced and diverse workforce, thereby driving growth, innovation and excellence.

The company already has over 15% female workforce, including security guards and housekeeping staff, and believes that diversity in the workplace is a key success factor as it brings different perspectives, experiences and ideas, thus enabling better decision-making and problem-solving.

They already have Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies that go hand in hand with government policies already in place that specifically target women’s empowerment. In particular, the shift towards digitization accelerated the post-pandemic period and had a positive impact on the company’s hiring strategy.

Commenting on the announcement, S. Behera, Head of Operations, KSH Logistics said: “We are excited to launch this initiative to increase the proportion of women in all departments of our workforce. The logistics industry has so far been primarily a male-dominated industry, and we want to break with this cliché.”

To achieve this goal, KSH Logistics will take various measures, including targeted recruitment efforts, training and development programs, mentoring and coaching, and flexible working arrangements. The company will also review its policies and procedures to ensure they support the needs and aspirations of female employees, the company said in a statement.
