Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has received a major order to supply 13 Kalmar forklifts to a leading Italian logistics and equipment rental service provider.
This deal also includes an option for four additional units for use in the most demanding steel handling applications, the manufacturing company reported.
The agreement was booked in Cargotec’s order intake in the second quarter of 2023. The delivery of the machines is planned for the first quarter of 2024 and the second quarter of 2024.
According to the company, this customer is a long-standing partner and one of its oldest customers in Italy, which operates a fleet of different Kalmar forklifts.
Marco Tosi, Country Director of Kalmar Italy, stated: “Our Italian Frontline team has developed a strong relationship with our local customers, who appreciate the excellent reliability that Kalmar equipment is known for, especially in demanding applications such as steel handling .

In March, Kalmar received an order from Austrian rail logistics service provider Innofreight Solutions GmbH (Innofreight) for a heavy-duty electric forklift.
Kalmar recently won a contract to supply British material handling equipment (MHE) supplier BJB Lift Trucks Ltd. with 15 medium-sized electric forklift trucks. (BJB) completed.
