Indian Maritime University announces enrollments for the 2024-25 academic year

Indian Maritime University has announced applications for admission to the programs for the next academic year. Speaking to media in Chennai, University Vice Chancellor Dr. Malini Shankar that students can register until May 17th.

The university has branches in Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, Sewri Mumbai and Vishakapatnam and also has 17 maritime training institutes currently affiliated with the university. She said students had to show up for the Common University Engineering Test.

The university also offers maritime and non-marine programs in related areas of marine engineering. The Vice-Chancellor announced that in order to encourage more female cadets in the maritime field, a memorandum of understanding was signed with MARTRADE, which has awarded scholarships to 26 female cadets from the university.

The Vice Chancellor said the university is raising awareness of the university’s courses in government schools across Tamil Nadu.
