Hudong-Zhonghua builds 4th LNG carrier for CSSC Shipping Ship’s crew

Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has launched the fourth 174,000 cubic meter LNG tanker it has built for CSSC Shipping.

According to the shipbuilder, the undocking for the ship with the working name H1830A took place on May 4th.

The LNG tanker has an overall length of 295 meters, a width of 45 meters and a depth of 26.25 meters.

It belongs to the company’s X-DF series LNG ship type. These ships are powered by low-speed dual-fuel diesel engines and are equipped with advanced environmental protection devices, the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) devices.

The ship is designed to meet the most stringent International Maritime Organization (IMO) emission standards and IMO TIER III environmental protection requirements.

The leasing company of the CSSC Group ordered the ship in Hudong-Zhonghua last year. At the end of 2021, after the sister ships MU LAN and Guiying, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the third LNG carrier built for the leasing company of the CSSC Group.
