Hapag-Lloyd increases box tariffs from the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent to North America

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new General Rate Increase (GRI) / General Rate Adjustment (GRA) from the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent to North America.

The German airline will make an increase of $500 per container from July 1st. The new GRI applies to cargo transported in 20′ and 40′ dry, refrigerated and special containers, including high-cube equipment.

The fare adjustment applies to journeys from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iraq to the United States and Canada.
