Guangdong Yudean Shipping books new ships Ship’s crew

China’s Guangdong Yudean Shipping expands its fleet of bulk carriers with a newbuilding contract for the domestic shipyard.

The dry bulk shipping unit of state-owned energy company Guangdong Yudean Group has awarded CSSC subsidiary Chengxi Shipyard the delivery of two Kamsarmax newbuilds, costing over US$71 million.

The 82,000 dwt newbuilds will be delivered in February and April 2027 and will join the company’s fleet, which currently comprises 22 bulk carriers, according to VesselsValue data.
