GTT receives orders from Samsung Heavy Industries for tank construction of five new LNG tankers Ship’s crew

GTT announces that it has received several tank design orders for a total of five new LNG tankers from its partner Samsung Heavy Industries for a number of international shipowners.

GTT will design the tanks of these five vessels, each offering a total cargo capacity of between 174,000m3 and 180,000m3 and fitted with a GTT-developed Mark III family membrane containment system.

GTT is a technology expert for containment systems with cryogenic membranes for the transport and storage of liquefied gases. For over 50 years, GTT has been developing and delivering leading-edge technologies for better energy performance, combining operational efficiency and safety to equip LNG carriers, floating terminals, shore storage and multi-gas carriers. GTT also develops systems for using LNG as a fuel and a comprehensive range of services, including digital services in the field of smart shipping. The group is also active in the hydrogen sector through its subsidiary Elogen, which develops and assembles electrolysers, in particular for the production of green hydrogen.
