Gati Ltd., an Allcargo Group company and provider of express logistics and supply chain solutions, has entered into a special collaboration with Schneider Electric, the world leader in energy management and automation, to develop greener logistics solutions for the company.
In the initial phase of the collaboration, Gati exclusively used alternative fuel vehicles to collect shipments from Schneider Electric’s main distribution centers in Kundli in Haryana, Bhiwandi in Maharashtra and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Subsequently, deliveries in Gurugram are also made using alternative fuel vehicles.
Pirojshaw Sarkari, CEO, Gati Ltd. and Vikrant Tyagi – Director – Logistics and Supply Chain Schneider Electric together with Schneider Electric logistics team delivered the alternative fuel vehicles at Farukh Nagar STC on May 24, 2023.
As well as offering long-distance, low-emission transport, Gati will also manage local deliveries in Gurugram for Schneider Electric with a fleet of alternative fuel vehicles as part of the greener logistics collaboration.
“The use of alternative fuel vehicles is part of our mission to promote environmental sustainability in express distribution and to support the government in reducing our carbon footprint. We are excited to partner with Schneider Electric to develop greener logistics solutions that align with our vision of green mobility. We have an ongoing express distribution partnership with Schneider Electric for transport and delivery across India. The recent collaboration in the field of green logistics will further enhance our synergies with them. We look forward to supporting Schneider Electric in their sustainability goals. We hope the partnership will lay the foundation for a broader collaboration focused on creating environmentally friendly and efficient express distribution services,” said Sarkari.
