Gadkari breaks ground on 10 NH projects worth Rs8,000 in UP

The groundbreaking ceremony for 5 NH projects worth 2,200 crore rupees in Pratapgarh region and 5 NH projects worth 6,215 crore rupees in Deoria region of Uttar Pradesh was broken today by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. Yogi Adityanath, Prime Minister of Uttar Pradesh, was present on the occasion.

In his speech, Gadkari said that the construction of 43 km National Road 330 from Pratapgarh to Sultanpur, which will cost Rs. 1,290 million, will reduce the travel time from Prayagraj to Pratapgarh via Ayodhya. He said construction works for the proposed 14km Pratapgarh bypass, which will cost Rs 309 crore, will also start soon.

The minister said road safety works costing Rs. 27 crore will be carried out on National Highway 31, including street lamps, bus stops. The construction of the Pratapgarh-Musafirkhana section will accelerate the development of cement plants, gas plants, bottling plants and milk plants.

All these projects will boost investment in Uttar Pradesh and create new jobs
occasions.

Speaking about the Deoria project, Gadkari said that construction of a 22km four-lane bypass in Deoria at a cost of 1750 crores will be awarded in August 2023. He said that the backward areas of Deoria and Gorakhpur would benefit from these projects. The minister said these projects will also improve connectivity with Bihar.
