First batch of “Made in Telangana” garments is exported to New York

The garments first made in Sircilla were exported directly to New York by Green Needle, a manufacturing unit at Sircilla Apparel Park.

About 1.17 lakh crates of GAP organic cotton are ready for the first delivery via the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in Mumbai.

On Twitter, State Industry Minister KT Rama Rao tweeted the information about the export.

“I am pleased to announce that the first direct export cargo from GREEN NEEDLE – the first factory in Sircilla Apparel Park for the first customer – organic cotton Gap boxers has been shipped en route to New York via JNPT in Mumbai he tweeted

“Everything made in SIRCILLA/Telangana/India. May millions more follow,” Rao added

The Garment Park was established in Sircilla on an area of ​​about 60 hectares to manufacture garments under the management of Gokaldas Images Private Limited. The Green Needle has also set up a branch in the clothing park, which has clothing brand GAP among its customers.

The Apparel Park employs around 10,000 people, with 80 percent of the employees being women, particularly the hand weaving workers.
