EV Cargo continues its expansion in Southeast Asia with the opening of new offices and cargo centers in Malaysia as the company continues its growth strategy across Asia.
The new country office on the outskirts of the capital Kuala Lumpur is close to key seaports and will offer directly managed air and sea freight services to and from Malaysia, all operated by EV Cargo staff and systems.
With warehousing facilities at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and CFS capabilities at major seaports such as Port Klang, Penang and Johor Port, EV Cargo Malaysia specializes in air and sea freight, cross-border e-commerce, warehousing and customs services in the region.
Southeast Asia is a region with great potential for electric vehicles. It boasts a number of growing economies and offers new and exciting opportunities and alternatives to traditional sourcing strategies in the equally fast-moving arena of global logistics.
Since 2019 EV Cargo has served many market leading companies in the region as well as a growing list of small and medium sized businesses. However, the company is now expanding across Southeast Asia, opening corporate offices in Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, as well as expanding capacity in existing offices and warehouses in Singapore and Myanmar.
“Malaysia offers exciting growth opportunities for EV Cargo and we are taking rapid action across Southeast Asia to expand our footprint and build a robust EV Cargo network supported by professional teams,” said Justin Bentley, EV Cargo Vice President, Southeast Asia.
“The logistics industry in Malaysia has evolved in recent years due to growth factors such as better logistics infrastructure, increasing freight volumes and structural growth in e-commerce.”
“Our expanded footprint and capabilities in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, backed by our investments in local expertise, will result in EV Cargo seizing opportunities in the region to help execute our broader growth strategy.”
