According to its latest Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) report, DP World reduced direct carbon emissions from its global operations by 5% over the past year, reflecting progress towards its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2040.
DP World said decarbonization is a key focus for the company, which has already committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2040 and carbon neutral by 2050, in line with the UAE’s net zero goal for 2050.
During 2022, DP World strengthened its ESG governance and risk management framework, established an Executive Sustainability Council to provide strategic guidance on the Group’s sustainability strategy and ESG metrics, ESG as a risk in our Corporate Enterprise Risk Register integrates and publishes its first standalone ESG report c 2021 – a significant milestone for the company.
