DHL Global Forwarding announces leadership changes in Asia Pacific

DHL Global Forwarding, the freight arm of Deutsche Post DHL Group, announces a change in its Asia Pacific management as Kelvin Leung, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Asia Pacific, resigned after more than two decades of valuable contributions from the Group exits. His successor, Niki Frank, currently CEO of DHL Global Forwarding South Asia, will assume his new role as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific effective July 1, 2023.

Kelvin has had a long and illustrious career in the logistics industry. He joined Danzas AEI in 2002 and held various leadership positions at DHL Global Forwarding in the region before taking on the position of CEO of DHL Global Forwarding North Asia Pacific in 2008. In 2011, Kelvin’s leadership responsibilities were expanded with his appointment as CEO, Asia Pacific. In this function he achieved record sales and an enormous increase in market share. He was instrumental in transforming the region by improving freight forwarding solutions, pioneering DHL Global Forwarding in rail solutions between Asia and Europe and significantly expanding the intra-Asia business.

Niki Frank brings extensive experience and expertise to his new role as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific. He started his career at DPDHL Group in 2012, where he held the position of Vice President of Corporate Strategy. Throughout his career at DHL Global Forwarding, Niki has held various leadership positions and has been instrumental in the company’s growth and success. He was instrumental in the company’s turnaround program and helped shape the “Simplify” strategy. In 2019 he assumed the role of CEO for India before assuming additional responsibility for the newly created South Asia sub-region in 2021. In recent years he has successfully increased performance in all three areas to record levels and positioned India as a major win contributor in the DHL Global Forwarding network. In addition, he managed to create significant synergies in the countries of his sub-region and strategically prepare them for future growth.
