DCI awarded Naval Channel maintenance contract

Southern Naval Command (SNC) Kochi awarded the prestigious Annual Maintenance Dredging of Naval Channel at Ernakulam to Dredging Corporation of India Limited, (DCIL) Visakhapatnam, which will perform annual dredging of approximately 1.5 million cubic meters of Naval Channel, Ernakulam, at an estimated cost of includes Rs 64 crore for the year 2022-23.

The Southern Naval Command (SNC) annual maintenance project would also advance DCI’s goal of achieving record sales of Rs.1000 crore for this fiscal year 2022-23.

DCI is a listed dredging company in India under the consortium of four major port authorities – Visakhapatnam Port, Paradip Port, Jawaharlal Nehru Port and Deendayal Port – with a controlling interest of 73.47%. DCI supplies the dredger and allied services for major ports, smaller ports, Indian Navy, Fisheries Ports and other maritime organizations by deepening and maintaining the safe navigation channel for EXIM activities.
