Bolloré Logistics opens new hub in South Korea

Bolloré Logistics has celebrated the official opening of K-HUB, its newest warehouse and distribution center in South Korea.

Located in Geomdan, K-HUB is strategically located in close proximity to Greater Seoul and the rest of the country.

The warehouse is also close to Incheon International Airport, Incheon Seaport and central Seoul, and enjoys easy access to transportation infrastructure.

Its size is 9,555 square meters with a flat warehouse and operations floor with an employee-centric office area.

This facility includes intelligent LED lighting and a gate door system to reduce energy wastage and solar panels on the roof area to generate renewable energy and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The facility also includes reusable storage and packaging materials for shipping and has charging stations for electric storage vehicles.

The new hub houses a “B.Lab” area dedicated to innovation and digitization.

Fabien Giordano, CEO of Bolloré Logistics North Asia, said: “K-HUB is a combination of innovation and sustainability as it integrates modern technologies to ensure highly efficient operations while caring for our employees and the environment.”

This announcement comes two months after Bolloré Transport & Logistics announced the appointment of Jérôme Le Grand as Managing Director of PRISM, a subsidiary of the fourth-party logistics company (4PL).
